An Camas Mòr is one of 11 applications selected as an exemplar sustainable community out of 70 by the Scottish Sustainable Communities Initiative, announced by Deputy First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon MSP.

Welcome to the site that gives access to view the planning application and supporting documents for the Proposed New Community, An Camas Mòr.

For quick access to the Proposed Masterplan Report it's best to work through the green menu tabs from left to right, opening the pdf files listed on the left as you go; for a quick appraisal of local issues look at FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions).

The Proposed Masterplan Report, which is relatively easy to read, is in sections on the green menu line above. To print it (120 pages A4 landscape bound to the left, 39 Mb) click here.

The reports are on view at The Highland Council offices in Kingussie and Aviemore or can be posted to you on CD at a cost of £25; a non-technical summary of the environmental statement is available free and the full report on paper for £150. The Proposed Masterplan Report can be ordered separately at £30. To receive your reports please send a suitable self-addressed envelope together with your cheque or postal order to:
